Cork Board Transformation

I have been meaning to buy a cork board for quite some time. So when my friend and I went to a Japanese dollar store downtown I picked up this double sided cork board for only $4!

After realizing it looked a bit too plain, I decided to fancy it up with a little bit of paint!
Once I started painting I quickly realized that I would be needing some painters tape.
Paint on the cork board! D:

Taking the tape off, and..... Voila!

The [almost] finished product!

I bought some cute purple jewel thumbtacks from dollarama!
Still looking plain.... I was planning on maybe adding some black ribbon?
This is an idea for the ribbon pattern

I'm gonna have to go back to that dollar store and find some black ribbon now! Hmm... I've been spending a lot of time in dollar stores latley... Suspicious.

Well that's all I've accomplished for this project so far... Stay posted for any news on my actual completion of this cork board!

Seed Bombs

So, for valentines day my boyfriend got me these cute little paper hearts from Etsy! http://www.etsy.com/seed-bomb-heart-shaped
After giving him a quizzical look, he explained that they are "seed bombs" and that when placed on soil, they will grow flowers! I was pleasantly surprised by this cute gift.

Unfortunately I didn't get around to planting these pretty hearts until today, almost a month after Valentines day. Shhh......

These flowers will grow, just like our love! (corny i know ;)

Wow i just realized how uneven my soil is, oh well! Anyways, I will be posting updates and pictures about these "seed bombs"! So stayed tuned :D
